Frome Textile Workshop

The Textile Workshop is an enthusiastic mix of all ages and several nationalities from novices to very experienced weavers and spinners.

We welcome anyone who wishes to learn these historic crafts, the principles of which have not changed for centuries. Experienced craftspeople enjoy the friendly atmosphere and provide help and encouragement to learners. We have held many successful exhibitions.

Subscription fees are low and we meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the downstairs rooms of the United Reform Church on Whittox Lane, entrance is from the footpath through the gate. The Textile Workshop was set up 17 years ago on Frome College Campus, with the closure of Adult Ed classes in weaving, spinning and dyeing, as an independent, self-funding, voluntary group.
